For clients

Your case, on the record — with Cairn

Taxpayers and business owners use Cairn to follow IRS escalation work their CPA is handling, and to activate each case with a clear $200 fee.

How it works

Step 1

Create your account

Share your details and verify your email with a one-time code — no password to remember.

Step 2

Your CPA opens a case

When your firm starts an IRS escalation matter, it appears in your client portal.

Step 3

Pay $200 to activate

One payment per case unlocks CPA work — filings, reviews, and dispatch stay blocked until paid.

What you can do in the portal

  • Track case status from intake through resolution
  • See urgency and summary updates from your firm
  • Activate each case with a $200 one-time fee
  • Sign in anytime with an email login code

Privacy & security

We collect tax identification (SSN or EIN) so your CPA can prepare accurate filings. Values are encrypted at rest. Sign-in uses a one-time email code — we never store a client password.

Case fee: $200 one-time per case, paid by you when your CPA opens the matter.

FAQ

Do I need a password?
No. Request a code at sign-in or during signup; it expires in 10 minutes.
When do I pay?
After your CPA creates a case for you. Until you pay $200, CPA work on that case stays paused.
Are you a CPA firm?
Cairn is the platform your CPA firm uses. Firm owners and staff sign in separately under the firm dashboard.
